Spaghetti and Veggie Sauce

I love love love spaghetti…its one of my favorite meals. It’s so easy and quick to prepare. When I’m tired I usually just boil spaghetti and eat it with chicken stew…I know that’s a boring combo…but it works for me anytime. Anyways, I decided to take my time and make some vegetable sauce with chopped gizzard and fried chicken.

Well, the truth is I was trying to impress my hubby’s friends who came over. While I was cooking I could hear my hubby boasting about my dishes…so I had to make sure the food came out delicious. I dint have to ask if the food was great…their empty dishes said it all. So if you would like to jazz up your spaghetti….follow the recipe below.
Ingredients:
  • Spaghetti
  • Veggies (green bell pepper, red bell pepper (tatashe), red chilli pepper (rodo), tomatoes
  • Onions and garlic
  • Blended peppers
  • Boiled and fired Gizzard
  • Cooking oil
  • Boiled and fried chicken
  • Seasoning
Method:
  • Chop up the veggies, onions and garlic and gizzard and set aside
  • Pour some cooking oil in a pan on medium heat, and when the oil is hot pour in the onions and garlic and stir fry for about 2mins
  • Pour in the blended pepper, add all seasoning and let it fry for about 5mins
  • Pour in all the veggies and stir fry for 5mins
  • Then add d gizzard n chicken for about 2mins
  • For the spaghetti, boil water in a pot till it’s hot, and then add some cooking oil (so the spaghetti doesn’t stick together) and salt to the water.  Add the spaghetti and let it cook for 6-10mins making sure you stir the spaghetti at intervals.
  • When it’s soft, drain the water and serve.
